Christmas in May



I was looking through my sketchbook recently and found a sketch I had done in December while watching TV, so I decided to turn it into a painting.

Nice IO! I like how at first it seems he's just walking with his gun, but then you notice the target above....

Thanks! Yep, "A Christmas Story".

I added the sketch to the post, the door was originally in the painting but it stood out too much so I took it out and added the footprints. I tried to stay true to the movie but I had to change things like the color of the house and the location of the target.

BTW, anybody get dragged to see THE BREAKUP? Ralphie's all grown up and playing Joey Lauren Adams' sad-sack husband. He's pretty funy, actually.
