Here's the finished painting for the previously posted sketch, done in cel vinyl and about 8x10 inches big.

Is that Richard Pose down there trying to chop that poor tree down? Bad Richard!!! Nice piece Israel. That tree creature doesn't look like he should be messed with.

very cool israel!!! The white tree really makes al the difference. so, did you paint this reverse as you would a cel, or just use the paints?

Scott, I can see how you would be easily confused, but its not me... that character Israel painted is much too handsome to be me... I may be dashing, but I am not handsome....

IO, sweet piece man! That Ent looks none-to-pleased.. I know Ents hate axes...

Very nice piece there IO. I really dig the ent, it is nice how he blends in but as you look deeper you see him. Very cool.

Very nice IO. I can't bear to see what that Ent is going to do Richard--I mean, that tree chopper guy....I like the light blue coming from behind the trees too.

Thanks everyone. The painting is done on a piece of heavy watercolor paper, I've never tried painting on a cel but am curious about it. The orc is based on Richard, although Richard doesn't have a jacket like that.

Richard might not have a jacket like that but he does always sport the "Loyal Order of Water Buffalo" hat. Awesome painting IO. I am always blown away by your work. Simply amazing.

And on a side note, Richard only joined the Loyal Order of Water Buffalo after being kicked out of The He-Man Woman Haters Club due to his extremist views.
